The “Winter Warmth Drive,” a charitable effort spearheaded by MSC Baltimore and the Women’s Traffic & Transportation Club, resulted in the collection of two large boxes
of socks, hats and gloves that were presented to WIN Family Services in mid-December.
WIN Family Services is a faith-based nonprofit that serves youth and families with emotional, behavioral and mental challenges. The organization was chosen by MSC’s Charity Committee.
The drive ran from October 18 through November 19, with collection sites located in the lobby of the World Trade Center, where MSC’s Baltimore office is located; at John S. Connor in Glen Burnie; and at Pride International
on Broening Highway.
“One of our employees volunteers
at WIN Family Services,” said Mauro Dal Bo, MSC’s Baltimore Branch Manager. “That personal connection was important to us. Proximity was also a crucial factor, as we try to do outreach where our office is located.”
The Women’s Traffic & Transportation Club was among the event partners collecting items for WIN Family Services. “They held an event in late October to help with collections and were extremely helpful and easy to work with,” said Nick Miller, Export Documentation Clerk at MSC, who organized the drive.
MSC felt it was particularly important to support the community
