Carnival Extends Contract,
Announces New Departures
A new contract with Carnival Cruise Line keeps the world’s
largest cruise provider serving the Port of Baltimore for
another five years. The agreement takes effect on January 1,
2025 and includes a five-year renewal option.
Carnival also recently announced an array of new itineraries
that will set sail in 2026 and 2027 from its homeports,
including Baltimore. Featured in many of the new sailings is
Celebration Key, a destination on the south side of Grand
Bahama Island that Carnival is building from the ground up
and that is set to open in 2025. Journeys from Baltimore to
Celebration Key will be available starting in 2026.
“We’re always excited to have new destinations from the
Port of Baltimore,” said Cynthia Burman, Deputy Director,
Business Development & Cruise at the Maryland Port
Administration. “Celebration Key is going to offer so much
excitement for guests of all ages. We look forward to starting
these voyages in 2026.”
Under the new itineraries, weeklong voyages from Baltimore
on Carnival Pride include Bahamas cruises featuring stops at
Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays, Nassau and Celebration Key,
as well as cruises to Bermuda that offer an overnight stay.
Several longer adventures are also available, with three
14-day Carnival Journeys sailings that feature unique
itineraries. One of the Carnival Journeys cruises to
Greenland and Canada will sail guests to Nanortalik and
Qaqortoq, Greenland as well as St. Anthony, Corner Brook
and Sydney, Canada. The two 14-day Carnival Journeys
sailings will explore the Southern Caribbean with stops in
St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Aruba, Curacao, Amber
Cove, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua and Tortola.
