Terminal Transportation Services Named Top
Intermodal Provider
Industry publication Logistics & Transportation Review named Baltimore-based Terminal Transportation Services (TTS) one of its Top 10 Intermodal Services Providers for 2023.
Founded in the late 1970s as a service to distribute baby formula in the greater Baltimore area via truck, TTS today facilitates the movement of diverse cargos within
a radius of 150 air miles from the Port of Baltimore. In fact, TTS is on a growth trajectory, having seen a year- to-date fleet expansion of 9% as of January, according
to Executive Vice President Dominic Covello. The company has also adopted technological efficiencies such as GPS tracking on all trucks.
Other companies honored by Logistics & Transportation Review included XPO, FedEx, East Coast Transport, Hawthorne Global Logistics, Amar Transport, Hub Group and Swift Transportation.

SHIP CALLS
ZIM LNG Vessel
Docks at Seagirt
The ZIM Emerald called at Seagirt Marine Terminal in early February. As one of
10 ZIM vessels powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the Emerald emits 20% fewer emissions than standard fuel — meaning that using an LNG vessel is equivalent to having two out of 10 ships produce zero emissions.
ZIM Shipping Lines, one of the top global carriers, doubled its service to Baltimore
in 2023, increasing vessel frequency from bi-weekly to weekly calls.
